Year 2016

Year 2016

I had hoped to post this stuff earlier but then I live in a developing country where many factors can hinder your plans, but nevertheless i still get to post it.
First of all I want to say a little thing about this stuff called “New Year Resolution”.

New Year Resolutions

They are promises people make to themselves mostly at the turn of the year which they intend to keep till the year runs out, at least that’s the idea.

Reasons why it often fails

The main reason why this promises or guidelines are often broken includes;

  • People always have in mind that the resolution is just for that year alone which is wrong because the main aim of a New Year Resolution is to help us break habits that affects us badly, so that resolution isn’t just for that year alone, it’s for a longer period and we need to view it so.
  • People often make resolutions which is almost impossible to accomplish in a snap as they want it, like make a resolution of not taking drugs or smoking or drinking ever again, when you know fully well that you are an addict, it’s a step at a time my dear.
  • Many people make resolutions just because others are doing so which is bad because that defeats the real meaning of the word “resolution”.
  • People are often forced to make resolutions by friends or parents which is a joke because even am the one I won’t keep to it even if hell freezes over.

I can keep giving reasons why these New Year resolutions fail but instead I’ll give ideas that can help it become a real stuff, that’s my own New Year Gift to my readers.

Year 2016

How to make and keep a New Year Resolution.

  • Make sure that the resolution is actually a “resolution” by yourself, not copying you friends so as not to feel left out.
  • Make sure that this stuff is something you really want to do which would have a positive impact on your life in the long run.
  • Make sure your resolution is something you can gradually ease into or get used to and that doesn’t mean that the Resolution should be easy.
  • Make sure that you view your resolution as a long term stuff not just a one year stuff, that way you’ll appreciate it more.
  • Make sure you have a penalty which you’d undergo if you defile your resolution anytime, that way, you’ll take it more seriously.
  • Don’t go about bragging about your New Year resolution to everyone who is willing to listen, It’s a Resolution for God’s sake!
  • You can tell your trusted friends about your resolution and the penalty you intend to take when you defile it anytime, that way, they too can help keep you in check.

These are just my own thoughts because I found out that Making and Keeping a New Year resolution is not easy and many people actually want to keep theirs.

Well, Pharaoh wishes his readers a blissful year full of love and opportunities and I hope that you try and grab of those life changing opportunities.

Pharoahsays Happy New Year!!!
